Contributions I Emergency Services
When requested, Bennett Lumber responds to emergency situations with trained
personnel. With the support of employee EMTs and First Responders and its own
highly trained firefighters, they assist local fire departments on medical calls and in
fighting both structural and wildland fires. In addition, the company participates in
Search and Rescue operations. The company helicopter has aided in searches for
missing persons and has flown air missions in support of county law enforcement.
Using a Geographic Information System, they produced an Emergency Services Mapbook designed to help police, fire trucks, SAR, and ambulances respond quickly to emergencies.
In 2000, Bennett Lumber Products received the
KEEP IDAHO GREEN award from the Idaho
Department of Lands for the company's efforts
and readiness to fight fires.
