Guidelines While Visiting Bennett Property
  • Respect private property. Vandalism is a crime! Bennett Lumber Products offers a reward of $1000 for the arrest and conviction of any person involved in vandalizing our gates and/or property.
  • Be sure you know property boundaries as Bennett ground is patch-worked with other private landowners.
  • Fireworks are prohibited at all times.
  • Hunters: Keep safely away from houses, other structures, and livestock. Confirm your target! There are many people who utilize Bennett ground, both for work and recreation.
  • Don't litter. If you pack it in, pack it out.
  • You must comply with all posted signs.
  • Do not park in front of gates, lanes, or other openings such as driveways.
  • Overnight camping is discouraged and campfires are prohibited.
  • Use caution around active logging operations. Watch for log trucks.
  • Target practicing is not allowed.
  • Firewood cutting (for personal use) is allowed by permit only. Christmas tree cutting is prohibited.
  • Snowmobiles must avoid plantations where snow compaction and clipping of treetops can damage young trees under the snow.
  • All vehicles and ATVs must remain on existing roads and trails. Do not widen existing roads or trails by forcing your vehicle or ATV down them.
  • Be courteous to other recreationists.
  • Illegal activities will be subject to action by local law enforcement.
By treating our land as if it were your own, and by showing respect to the landowner and the property, you are assuring the chance to have a place to recreate and enjoy wildlife. Your actions may be the determining factor on anyone else accessing our lands in the future.
